Tubid, Duncil lead UAAP vs NCAA's Melencio, Macapagal in Pinoyliga Alumni Cup All-Star Game

An afternoon filled with greatness inside a single building on a single memorable event.

The Pinoyliga Cup along with its official partner and outfitter Antbox will hold its first-ever All-Star Game on Saturday, October 1 at the Gatorade Hoops Center, Mandaluyong City.

The festivity slated to start at 2:30 PM is composed of two events; a Fitspire Three-Point Shootout and the classic UAAP vs NCAA exhibition game from the best of the best players inside the Pinoyliga Cup.

The UAAP All-Stars will be led by arguably the most exciting backcourt of the league in UE's Paul Artadi and Ronald Tubid. Joining them in the starting lineup is their fellow Red Warrior Bonbon Custodio, UST's main men Rommel David and Jojo Duncil. The UAAP All-Stars is headed by Coach Alvin Zuniga and Cob Soto.

On the other hand, the NCAA All-Stars will be led by the MVP-frontrunner Erwin Sta. Maria of MAPUA and the one-two punch of the Red Lions, Shin Dela Cruz, and Richie Melencio. The team will also have San Sebastian’s flamethrower Mark Macapagal and reliable big men Arden Guiab. NCAA All-Stars will be coached by Coach Jet Maronilla.

Meanwhile, the Fitspire three-point contest will be bannered by the best shooters of the league where teammates will team up to try to score the most combined points after 60 seconds each.

Up for the challenge are San Sebastian’s Mark Macapagal and Edrick Ferrer, San Beda’s Richie Melencio and Ryan Cristobal, UST’s Romel David and Derrick Hubalde, and UE’s Paul Artadi and Ronald Tubid.

There will also be another three-point contest where Alvin Zuniga of UE, Jet Maronilla of San Beda, Ryan Roxas of UST, Cob Soto of UE, Vincent Harder of San Sebastian, Nap Coner of Letran, Kelwin Ang of UST, Joey Valencia of Aquinas, and Maurick Muya of St. La Salle will battle it out in the side event for the team managers of the participating teams of Pinoyliga Alumni Cup.
