The Field Is Set: Pinoyliga Collegiate Cup Season 5 Conference Finals Brackets Are In

The standings are in. The upsets are over. The playoff picture is finally complete. 

After an action-packed opening round of the Pinoyliga Collegiate Cup Season 5 playoffs, the Conference Finals are officially set. Every remaining team has earned its place through grit, composure, and timely performances, while others saw their championship dreams come to an end.

With emotions running high and the pressure even higher, only eight teams remain in the hunt for the Season 5 crown.

Eastern Conference: Undefeated SPC Meets Surging OLFU

The Eastern Conference will feature a showdown between the undefeated SPC Ravens and the OLFU Phoenix.

OLFU secured their spot after surviving New Era University, 88-85, behind player of the game Mamadoou Toyre’s 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four blocks, and a steal. Every possession mattered as both teams traded baskets until the final buzzer, with the energy from both benches matching the intensity on the court.

Waiting for them are the 6-0 SPC Ravens, who extended their perfect season after dispatching UMAK, 90-73. Samuel Alphonsus led the Ravens with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks as SPC once again showcased why it remains a favorite to win the championship.

Now comes the biggest question in the East:

Can OLFU hand SPC its first loss of the season, or will the Ravens continue their perfect run?

Western Conference: Battle-Tested EAC Faces Adamson

The Western Conference Finals promise another tightly contested matchup as Adamson University faces Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Adamson advanced after escaping UST, 68-67, using balanced scoring from Anthony Fransman, Emmanuel Anabo, and Matthew Montebon to overcome the 16-point performances from Charles Esteban and Kirk Canete.

EAC arrives after surviving their own thriller.

The Generals eliminated the Benilde Blazers by just one point, once again proving they are comfortable playing under pressure. Shooting 54% from the field, EAC controlled the tempo and disrupted Benilde’s offensive rhythm throughout the game.

Clint Bonus, along with brothers MJ and Harave Raymundo, each scored 13 points to lead the attack.

Northern Conference: Saint Clare Defends Top Seed Against Diliman Colleges

The Northern Conference features two impressive programs with very different paths to the semifinals.

Top-seeded Saint Clare College advanced after defeating the MCU Supremos in overtime.

While many expected another comfortable victory following Saint Clare’s dominant 84-49 elimination round over MCU, the Supremos nearly produced another upset after their dramatic overtime victory against BCP in the play-ins.

Instead, the Saints reminded everyone why they entered as the conference’s top seed, beating MCU 69-63.

Waiting for Saint Clare is a dangerous Diliman College squad.

The Blue Dragons defeated the LPU Pirates in the semifinals, 94-81. Behind a dominant performance from the player of the game, Solomon Kone, who exploded for 29 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals. 

LPU’s foul trouble proved costly, sending Diliman to the free-throw line repeatedly. The Blue Dragons capitalized, converting 20 points.

Southern Conference: Redeemed Altas Face Relentless SDCA

The Southern Conference Finals will feature two teams entering with confidence.

SDCA advanced comfortably after defeating Enderun, 80-65, forcing 18 turnovers while recording 12 steals and four blocks.

Player of the game Chad Louise Amante led the way with 20 points, four rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Despite the 16-point efforts from Rejoice Jimenez and Miekho Natinga, Enderun could not overcome SDCA’s well-rounded play.

Standing across from them is the UPHSD Altas.

The Altas earned a measure of revenge by defeating Guang Ming College, 76-70.

Earlier in the elimination round, Guang Ming handed UPHSD its only loss of the season. This time, the Altas responded with poise, eliminating the Flying Dragons and proving they had learned from their earlier defeat.

The playoffs have come and gone.

The surprises, heartbreaks, and overtime thrillers have narrowed the field to eight teams, each just one win away from the national finals.

SPC’s unbeaten run will be tested. Saint Clare’s championship pedigree faces another challenge. The Altas seek redemption. While EAC continues to prove once again that it thrives under pressure.

Every conference now has its finalists. The stakes have never been higher, and with a place in the National Finals on the line, there is no room for mistakes.
