Bacoor stays unbeaten in M-League U17

Bacoor routed Pasay, 63-41, to remain unbeaten in the 2019 Metro League Boys Basketball U17 South Division last May 9 at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig.

Mikhael James Gutierrez sizzled with 18 points and 3 assists to lift the Junior Strikers, who picked up their second win in as many outings in the U17 tourney backed by Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and with Barangay 143 as league presentor.

In the other games, Las Pinas Defenders got their second straight win with a 60-55 win over Taguig Generals while Solid San Juan-PC Gilmore beat Navotas, 63-58.

Rion Natrist Porcadas added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4r assists while Vincent Joaquin Pecho contributed 14 markers for Bacoor, which opened its campaign with an 86-68 win over Las Pinas.

Jericho Reyes led the way with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Home Defenders, who improved to 2-1 and climbed to second place in the South Division against Bacoor.
