As we enter the Playoffs of the YBC Legends Cup, a 5 way tie in the middle of the standings looms! Currently, Padrino's Way, Pepsi Legends and Paranaque are all bunched up in the middle with identical 3-4 win loss record. With an Aston Martin squad, sporting a 3-3 record set to battle Taguig A (2-4), a win by Billy Villareal's side will make way for a monumental 5 team grindlock in the middle.

The top of the standings is still a two horse race as Grindhouse and Apollo continues to dominate the opposition. Both are assured of a twice to beat advantage going into the playoffs. Lets take a look at each team in this weeks YBC Legend Power Ranking.

# 1 - GRINDHOUSE ( 6 - 1 )

Locked and loaded is Grindhouse! At this point, they  have pummelled the opposition in impressive fashion including a 9 point win over their nearest competition on top, Apollo Legends. Wowie Evangelista continues his ascend to the MVP plum as he leads the league in total Statistical Points (SP) with 248.5 SP while guiding the team to a 6-1 record. He also placed 3rd on Player Efficiency with a 15.98 PER.

The rest of the team remains solid with Custer Braganza and Gec Chia all inside the Top 10 of the MVP Race while forming what could arguably be the best front court in the league

Lets see if Grindhouse can keep this pace up.

#2 - APOLLO LEGENDS ( 5 - 1 )

The Apollo Legends are poised to finish the classification round on top with relatively light assignment to close out the round against Mandaluyong. But a with Grindhouse winning over them, Apollo will be relegated to 2nd place which is still good for a twice to beat advantage.

Caloy Sario continues to lead the way for the Legends as he is the most efficient player of the league with a 17.46 PER which taking from Mac Wong the scoring leadership with 16.6 PPG. Bertwin Lee remains to be the best second option in terms of scoring as he provides 10.6 PPG which being a defensive gem with his 5.8 rebounds per game and 1.2 steals per game.

The Legends remains to be a team to be with its deep roster.

#3 - PADRINOS WAY BARBERHUB ( 3 - 4 )

A monster win against Pepsi Legends cemented their Power Ranking position.

Padrino's has been on a up and down trail as they won big and lost big. The 44-31 thrashing of Pepsi Legends may be their ticket to a twice to beat advantage though everything will still be sorted out and will be dependent on the outcome of the Aston-Taguig A game.

Garv Ceballos trails Wowie Evangelista in the MVP Race with 207.5 SP while also leading the league in assists with 5.57 APG. Carlo Poblete remains to be one of the best bigs in the league but the emergence of Marv De Jesus may just be the wildcard that other teams should look out for as he gives Padrino's a viable second big man that other teams covet.

#4 - MAKATI - ASTON MARTIN ( 3 - 3 )

The ascend for this Marc Tagle owned franchise has been slow but they are now at cusp of gaining the 3rd seed should they get past Taguig A.

Back to back wins over Pepsi Legends and Paranaque has built momentum for the team . Matt Farley is the centerpiece of the attack, injuries notwithstanding, as he remains top ten on important stats categories. Markches Ang and Marc Tagle provides the scoring backbone of this team.

#5 - PARANAQUE ( 3 - 4 )
We can sleep on Paranaque!

A team with La Salle and Benilde luminaries will always contend for the crown. A rugged core of Carlo Franco, Eric Arejola and JA Coching can easily bounce back and make Playoff noise.
The back court tandem of Paul Franco and Tonio Castro we’re in full display in their loss to Aston as the two lead the team in scoring with 23 and 14 respectively.

#6 - PEPSI LEGENDS ( 3 - 4 )

Slump has plagued this overachieving team as they have absorbed back to back loses, one at the hands of Padrino’s and the other a stinging loss to Aston Martin which could have gone their way.
As it stands now, Pepsi is in the middle of the 3-way tie with Padrino’s and Paranaque.
Jerwin Agarao, Benny Benitez, Jake Iliscupidez and Ronnie Pizarro needs to step it up a notch if Pepsi has plans of wreaking havoc when Playoffs come.

#7 - TAGUIG A ( 2  - 3 )

The season might just probably be dependent on the result of the game against Aston Martin. A win would give them a ticket to a 5-way tie and a way to avoid Apollo Legends in the Playoffs.
Chicoy Alvarez has yet to play and will be a key piece should he decide to.

#8 - MANDALUYONG ( 1 - 5 )

Manda brings up the rear and is in a collision course with Grindhouse in the playoffs which could spell bad news. A win against Apollo this week may just as well be the break they need to start momentum.
They can start by making sure a complete line up plays. Donn Borcena should be a good complement to Mac Wong.
