There will be no game three in the inaugural high school girls' basketball championship in the UAAP after the league cancels the rest of the schedule due to the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The game was supposed to be played between Adamson and UST at the FilOil FlyingV Centre in San Juan on March 13, but the threat that lead to the declaration of a month-long lockdown in the National Capital Region put a premature end to its plans to crown the inaugural champion in this demonstration event.

With the memo comes the extended suspension of classes until April 14, and as such the academic calendar of its member schools have already been finished as they are now already into the examination period.

As a result, both the Lady Tiger Cubs and the Lady Baby Falcons share the title after splitting the first two games in identical five-point wins.

UST drew first blood with a 73-68 result last March 6 that ended the unbeaten run of Adamson before the latter evened the series with a 79-74 decision last March 9, on the day NU-Nazareth swept the boys' crown with a sweep of FEU-FERN in the finals.

"This reminds us that we are all part of a broader society and that this is not just a sporting issue, but a public health issue with global implications," the league said in a statement.
