Usapang PSL to Tackle Volleyball's Resumption and More

When the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Infectious Diseases released a resolution last week that allowed Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and Philippine Football League (PFL) teams to resume team practices as long as the teams follow health protocols, one of the questions that have been bugging the local volleyball community is that why volleyball teams such as those who are playing in the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) aren't allowed to hold team practices when in fact, volleyball is considered as a non-contact sport.

Fortunately, this Saturday's episode of Usapang PSL will discuss how the league is working hand-in-hand with the IATF in hopes of the IATF finally granting permission for PSL teams to resume team practices. And then gradually, the games themselves as Benny Benitez is set to talk more PSL but more than the PSL's plans on the gradual return of the sport, this Saturday's episode will dig deep into the personal lives of the players of the PSL's newest team: the Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers who made their debut in the PSL during the 2019 PSL All-Filipino Conference. Set to join the discussion are Lady Skippers Ivy Remulla, Coleen Bravo, and Chiara Pementtilla as well as Generika-Ayala Lifesavers Rhea Dimaculangan, Kath Arado, and Angeli Araneta. Completing a fully-loaded guest list are Lady Skippers Head Cach Maria Vilet Ponce-de Leon and Generika mentor Sherwin Meneses

The discussion will revolve on the players' journey as volleyball players that will include questions about the challenges that the players have faced thus far Also, the players will be asked to share some of their "worsts" such as their worst game, worst injury but they will also share some of their best games thus far.

What makes every episode of Usapang PSL unique is that we have different co-moderator per episode and that, this Saturday's run is no different as Benitez is set to be joined by widely-recognized sportscaster of ESPN5, Noel Zarate.

If anything, the fourth episode of Usapang PSL which is brought to you by Pinoyliga TV is set to be another fun-filled and yet, filled with learning run as it will help us stay updated not just as to how the league is planning on its gradual resumption but also, what are the players are doing-especially in these trying times. You can catch Usapang PSL this coming Saturday, July 11, 2020, starting at 8 PM on the Facebook page of Pinoyliga as well as on the Pinoyliga TV YouTube channel.
