Uichico, Alapag part of Cone's coaching staff in SEA Games

Jimmy Alapag and Jong Uichico will be joining Tim Cone in his coaching staff at Gilas Pilipinas in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

Cone made the announcement last Saturday after Barangay Ginebra’s game against Phoenix Pulse in the PBA Governors’ Cup, according to reports.

Alapag and Uichico are not stranger to the Gilas Pilipinas program after being assistant coaches to Chot Reyes and Tab Baldwin in the past.

Uichico was also the head coach when the Gilas cadets ruled the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is currently the head of the SBP Academy of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Cone will also have Ginebra player Joe Devance and his Gin Kings deputies Richard Del Rosario, Freddie Abuda, and Kirk Collier as part of his coaching staff.
