We've seen the highlights. We've seen the famous championship-clinching shot. We've seen the numbers. But, we haven't seen the full story of the 1997-1998 Chicago Bulls team that won the National Basketball Association (NBA) championship after finishing with a 62-20 in the regular season and 15-6 during the 1998 playoffs en route to the Bulls' sixth final championship with Michael Jordan. And that's exactly the aim of "The Last Dance"- a sports documentary series which first aired on Netflix yesterday. It will give viewers of all ages a deeper view of what was going on with the Bulls during His Airness' final championship-winning season with the Bulls. And considering that the basketball world is on a hiatus due to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, we basketball fans might as well want to use this break to refresh our memories and witness how His Airness and his fabled Bulls win the championship for the final time in Jordan's final run. With the Bulls.

The fact that the 10-episode series features interviews with some of the biggest names in the NBA and, yes, that included the late and great Kobe Bryant. If you happen to be a fan of the Black Mamba, that's all the reason to watch the upcoming series. Why?

We all know that Kobe Bryant, according to most pundits, is the closest thing post-MJ era fans can get to a Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant is in fact considered as the Michael Jordan of his generation. In this series, the late Laker great will speak about how great MJ was during his championship-winning years in Chicago and that is something that many have said about but the difference is: this one will be coming from the perspective of one Kobe Bryant.

What was sad about is that Kobe Bryant was interviewed for the series just a week before his shocking death.

Aside from the late Black Mamba's perspective about the greatness of His Airness, this will give fans of all ages unprecedented access as to how Jordan's final season in Chicago went down. If you're looking for footages from that season that you haven't seen elsewhere, that is another reason why you should watch the series. The series will answer some of the frequently asked questions about Jordan and the mighty Bulls of the 90s.

If there's one reason why you should watch "The Last Dance", it will be this: this series will explain why the 1997-1998 Chicago Bulls of Michael Jordan and Coach Phil Jackson remains to this day, one of the dominant forces to win the NBA championship. And if you recall, the Bulls also went 72-10 during the 1995-1996 season en route to their fourth NBA title in the 90s alone.

If you have Netflix at home and you have nothing else to do, you might as well as use that reason to watch the series. After all, it's still about basketball and more importantly, it features arguably the greatest player of all-time.
