Jeron Teng had a double-double performance to lift Alaska to a 100-87 win over NLEX last May 29 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Teng had 20 points and 15 rebounds as the Aces improved their card to 2-2 and broke a two-game losing streak.
Six players scored in double figures for the Aces with Chris Daniels finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Chris Banchero adding 17 points.
“That’s really how we want to play on the offensive side,” Alaska coach Alex Compton opined.
NLEX played without head coach Yeng Guiao, who is in the first of a three-game break after taking a vacation in Europe.
The Road Warriors also played for the first time with Tony Mitchell, who had 34 points for his team but in a losing cause.
