Continuing their demolition on opening day, the Philippines swept the preliminaries to become the top overall seed in the men's 3x3 tournament of the Southeast Asian Games Monday afternoon at the FilOil FlyingV Centre in San Juan City.

After winning their first four games in record time, the quartet of Mo Tautuaa, CJ Perez, Jason Perkins and Chris Newsome picked up where they left of on Sunday session, firing in twin wins against Malaysia and Cambodia to win all six games in their elimination round.

Bucking a slow start to the game, Ronnie Magsanoc's Gilas Men blasted Malaysia 21-13, with Tautuaa and Perez had 8 and 6 points respectably, as Chris Newsome's driving lay-up clinch it with 36.9 seconds to go.

Cambodia were waylaid for a 21-6 rout, in which the host nation started with a 9-1 blast to practically put the game away.

Jason Perkins got his second double-digit game, hiking his 3x3 career high by hitting for a dozen, including the right-handed lay-up that ended the contest with 2:20 left in the contest.

As a result, the Philippines won every game by taking all maximum points, and will face 3-3 Thailand in the medal round.
