The pilot episode of Pinoyliga's Bull by the Horn lived up to the billing, posting respectable figures after its airing last Saturday.

Hosted by no less than founder Benny Benitez, the show garnered a thousand views on Facebook, in which it featured two of the winners from the Pakitang Gilas at Home challenge, viral sensation Kalye Irving and the Landicho family whose father Meylan plays for the GenSan Warriors of the MPBL.

And for him, the show is not only exclusive to basketball, as it hopes to feature other athletes in other sports.

"Iba't ibang sports po. Bukod lang po sa basketball."

But how the show was named? Mr. Benitez himself admits that his name himself was the answer, recounting his days with San Beda where it was still exclusive to males.

"Ano nga ba ang dahilan kung bakit?," he said. "Pag ganyan po eh, last name basis po."

However, he added that the hype brought by the hit miniseries The Last Dance had inspired him to take a cue from his namesake, a furry mascot from the Windy City

"May hangover pa ako dun sa The Last Dance. Sabi ko it's really fitting na ilagay na lang natin na pangalan," he further said, while showing Benny the Bull's top plays from The Starters program.
