SBP COACHES COMMISSION CONDUCTS REGION 11 CLINIC

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Coaches Commission headed by Coach Jong Uichico conducted a coaching  clinic aimed at improving the knowledge base of basketball coaches around the country. Held yesterday at the Genesis 88 Basketball Gym in Davao City, the clinic attracted 98 coaches from the different provinces of Region 11, being headed by SBP Regional Director Glenn Escandor. 

Together with coaches Mark Solano, Martin Alido and Ryan Betia, of Batang Gilas, Coach Uichico tackled the basics of basketball coaching from strength and conditioning to zone defense and offense up to the mindset of coaching specially during tactical situations. As the county progresses on the global stage with our Gilas Pilipinas punching a ticket for the FIBA 2019 World Cup, grass root programs for coaches will be a seed for the country's continued success globally.
