Sazon catches fire as Marikina torches Parañaque

YVES Sazon exploded for 33 points to power the Marikina Shoemasters to an 89-82 triumph over the Parañaque Patriots in the MPBL Lakan Season at the Valenzuela Astrodome Friday night.

Sazon, a deadshot guard, played one of his big games this season, but he also got plenty of support from Renato Ular, who had a double-double performance of 25 points and 17 boards as the Shoemasters picke dup only their fifth win in 23 games in the tough Northern Division of this tournament put up by Senator Manny Pacquiao with 

PBA legend and former MVP Kenneth Duremdes serving as commissioner.

The Shoemasters, however, needed to repulse a big Patriots uprising spearheaded by Jayboy Solis, who came away with 26 points.
