San Miguel moves one win away from finals with Game 4 win over Phoenix Pulse

San Miguel prevailed over Phoenix Pulse, 114-91, last April 23 in Game 4 of the semifinals at the Cuneta Astrodome, with the Beermen needing only a win to advance into the finals of the PBA Philippine Cup.

Romeo was magnificent in Game 4, scoring 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to give the Beerman a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven semifinals series. Game 5 is scheduled on Thursday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The level of physicality of the series increased in Game 4 with Alex Mallari being sent off for two technical fouls during a near melee between him and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser. The incident occurred after Alex Cabagnot hit RJ Jazul in the midsection area, causing Jazul to drop to the floor.

A combined 70 fouls were called in the game along with eight technical fouls, the most this conference.

Other San Miguel players also contributed with Cabagnot scoring 18 points and Arwind Santos adding 16 points and 8 rebounds
