San Miguel leveled the PBA Philippine Cup finals series last May 3 after outclassing Magnolia, 108-101, in Game 2 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
June Mar Fajardo had 16 points and 14 rebounds to set the tone for the Beermen in tying the best-of-seven series. Alex Cabagnot was also a key player for San Miguel after contributing 16 points and 6 assists for the Beermen.
Marcio Lassiter and Chris Ross also had a big game as they each had 15 points in a balanced scoring attack for San Miguel.
However, San Miguel lost Terrence Romeo midway in the fourth quarter after being ejected from the match. San Miguel officials led by team governor Robert Non needed to pacify Romeo before returning to the dugout.
Ian Sangalang had 18 points, as Jio Jalalon had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists for Magnolia.
