San Juan wins MPBL Datu Cup Game 1 finals

The San Juan Knights-Go For Gold won over the Davao Occidental Tigers-Cocolife, 84-74, last April 11 in Game 1 of the MPBL Datu Cup at the Almendras Gym in Davao City.

The Knights were led by John Wilson who showed his experience in leading his team to the win. Wilson had 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists while shooting 3 of 10 from three-point range in Game 1 for San Juan.

San Juan was in control for the whole match as the Knights started Game 1 with a 25-17 lead in the first quarter. San Juan maintained the lead and took a 49-32 halftime lead until the Knights outscored the Tigers, 42-35, in the second half.

Game 2 will be held on Saturday, 3:30 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial College Gym in Davao City.
