San Juan now 9-0 after victory over Nueva Ecija

San Juan-Go for Gold kept its unblemished slate going after beating Nueva Ecija, 109-95, last Monday in the MPBL Lakan Season at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Dominance was the word to describe the Knights’ victory particularly in the second period after taking a 32-12 advantage in that quarter thanks to several fastbreak opportunities. They ended the first half with a 55-38 lead.

John Wilson led the Knights after scoring 26 points and shot the ball decently by converting 5 three-point attempts in the game. Mark Cardona was also huge after contributing 18 points for the winning team.

Jhonard Clarito also strutted his wares in the match against Nueva Ecija when he had 14 points and 5 rebounds for the home team.

San Juan stakes its unbeaten slate on August 19 when it faces the Cebu Sharks at 6:30 p.m.
