The San Juan Knights nipped the Pasay Voyagers, 74-72, last Friday to stay unbeaten in the MPBL Lakan Season at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Playing at home for the first time since capturing the Datu Cup last month, the Knights opened the game with a 24-5 advantage but survived rallies by the Voyagers in the game.

CJ Isit scored on a driving lay-up that put the Knights ahead, 73-72, with 1:25 left in the fourth after Jan Jamon’s basket gave the Voyagers the lead.

The Voyagers had another chance to steal the win but Ron Lastimosa missed on a three-point shot, as Jhonard Clarito split his two charities to settle the final count.

Pasay outpointed San Juan, 26-16 and 25-19, in the second and third quarters respectively to make it a close ballgame.

Andoy Estrella had 13 points, as Larry Rodriguez had 10 points and 10 rebounds for San Juan. Isit and John Wilson also had 10 points each for the Knights.
