On the penultimate game of their July road-trip, San Juan Knights hardly broke any sweat to coast to their sixth straight win, as they easily take care of Paranaque, 81-65 in the MPBL Lakan Season Wednesday afternoon at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

It was yet another one-way traffic for the defending National Champions to give them a proper warm-up to their titanic clash with Bataan on Saturday in Albay, as the veteran duo of Mac Cardona and Larry Rodriguez took the cudgles when John Wilson and Jhonard Clarito had their off-nights.

Captain Hook exploded again for San Juan, leading all scorers with 16 points, while the scrappy Rodriguez added 13.

Wilson saw his streak of double-digit scoring end in five as he came up just a point shy of a double-double, after collaring 10 rebounds while Clarito was limited to just seven points and seven rebounds.

An 11-0 run in the second quarter got them going to pull away from a tight contest, as they even hiked it to 23 late in the game to send a message to the Risers who were also tagged as one of the favorites to dethrone the champions
