San Juan dominates Cebu, wins 10th in a row

San Juan is still unbeaten in the MPBL Lakan Season.

The Knights edged the Cebu Sharks, 88-69, as the Go for Gold-backed squad won their 10th game of the season last Monday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

John Wilson had 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks while also converting 4 triples in the game for the Knights.

Mark Cardona had 16 points and 5 rebounds, and Mike Ayonayon had 12 points and 8 assists for San Juan, which led by as much as 21 points in the contest.

Jhonard Clarito also had a good outing for San Juan after finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights.

Ayonayon hit a triple to finish an 11-0 run as San Juan grabbed a 31-19 lead. That started the rout as Cebu was not able to answer back. The halftime score was 41-33.

The lead swelled into 19 points after a jumper by Ayonayon on an alley-oop lay-up for a 62-43 lead, to enter the fourth with a 64-50, enough to take the victory.
