San Beda stays unbeaten, beats EAC in 'NCAA on Tour' match-up

San Beda won its third victory after defeating Emilio Aguinaldo College, 89-72, last Thursday in the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament at the EAC Gym.

James Canlas had 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, as Evan Nelle also contributed with 15 points and 7 assists as the Red Lions stayed unbeaten at the start of their title quest.

Calvin Oftana had 14 points as Donald Tankoua had a double-double after picking up 13 points and 11 rebounds for San Beda in an 'NCAA on Tour match-up.'

San Beda started out slow as it trailed by 10 points, 12-2, in the first period. Canlas, Tankoua, and Nelle answered back with Canlas also hitting a three to tie the game at 12. The first quarter ended with San Beda leading, 24-16.

It as a runaway for San Beda after that hitting shot after shot and went on to lead by 28 points in the game, 73-45, in the fourth quarter.
