Kiefer Ravena underwent a random drug test ahead of Gilas Pilipinas’ campaign in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Spin.ph reported Ravena and June Mar Fajardo took the random test last Friday as required by FIBA.
Ravena welcomed the random selection which came only a few days after the 18-month suspension with FIBA ended. Ravena was suspended by the world governing body of basketball for taking a drink that contained performance enhancing drugs or PED.
Ravena also expressed confidence that he will pass the random test.
"It's really funny but at the same time, completely understandable. Sigurado ako. Sure na sure yan,” Ravena said.
Following the suspension, Ravena played his first game following the sanction during the second tune-up game of Gilas Pilipinas against the Adelaide 36ers. Ravena also played in a tune-up game of NLEX against Phoenix recently.
