PSL to be played behind closed-doors due to growing COVID-19 threat

The 2020 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix will be held without fans in attendance starting today, March 10 at the Filoil Flying  V Centre in San Juan City after the Department of Health (DOH) raised the country's coronavirus disease alert level in the country.

According to PSL officials on Monday, they decided to continue the matches but no spectators will be allowed in the arenas to ensure the safety of the athletes as well as the officials.

The decision comes after the DOH announced that the confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has doubled to almost 24 cases on Monday.

The upcoming games of PSL will be played behind closed-doors beginning with the match between PLDT and Cherry Tiggo at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by battle between Marinerang Pilipina and Generika-Ayala at 7 p.m. on the same day.
