Prime Homes demolished their rival DMCI, 86-66

Prime Homes demolished their real life real estate rival DMCI, to start their journey on a winning note, 86-66 in the last game of the day in the new season of Kings of the Court STR8 | Corporate Recreational Division at the Upperdeck gym in Ortigas. 

Entering to the second quarter with a ten point lead, Prime Homes exploited DMCI’ several drought with a six to nothing spurt to increased their lead to 16, 32-16, then later on, Jeff DeGuzman added his own 8-0 run before going to half time. 

DeGuzman finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting an efficient 55% from the field. 

DMCI tried to stop the fire, and build up with clay with a seven to zero barrage in between those runs, but DeGuzman and the gang already brought thier bulldozer and spilled their potential comeback. 

With their sweet ball movement Prime Homes tallied 20 assist as a team, three more starters scored in double figures and shot 40% and above.

Eloy Bello had 22 and 44%, Matthew Yeo had 15 and 41%, and Alfred Asanza had 19 and 75%. 

Asanza also grabbed nine rebounds, distributed two dimes together with a steal and a block. He eventually grabbed the Player of the Game honors. 

Meanwhile, Ralph Rivas Royce Opinion showed for DMCI in which the former put up 20 points and grabbed five rebounds, and the latter had 16 and seven. 

Jun Coronel added a double-double with ten and 14, while Jeffrey Aldaba also had ten points. 

DMCI had an early 5-0 lead after the tip, though Prime Homes quickly bounce back with seven straight points, capped by Bello’s three pointer. 

Later that quarter, the winning team cemented a 9-3 run to go up by ten entering to the second period.

Going to the third period, Prime Homes continued moving the ball, and with their sticky defense, they remained at the upperhand, 65-46 and then maintained it until the buzzer sound.
