Pogoy Guests at MVPSF Youth League’s Idol Talk

Roger Ray Pogoy, the pride of Talisay, Cebu, will be the special guest at the inaugural episode of “Idol Talk,” on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 4:30PM.

The show, which will stream live over the Facebook pages of the MVP Sports  Foundation, Inc., MVPSF Youth League-Cebu and MVPSF Youth League-CDO, will be hosted by PBA broadcasters Magoo Marjon and Jutt Sulit and will be moderated by MYBL-Cebu tournament director Rico Navarro.

The show will give the audience a behind-the-scenes look into Pogoy’s remarkable basketball journey from being an intrepid basketball player who led the University of Cebu to a runner-up finish in the Cebu Youth Basketball League’s first season in 2008, his stint in the CESAFI, to becoming a champion at Far Eastern University before finally making it to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Pogoy, who hails from Cansojong, Talisay City in Cebu, will also speak of his experiences playing for flag and country as a member of the Gilas Pilipinas men’s national basketball team.

“Idol Talk” is the online offering of the MVPSF Youth Leagues of Cebu and Cagayan de Oro in lieu of actual games. The webcast will be streamed every Saturday at 4:30PM. Cebu and Cagayan de Oro will take turns in hosting each episode that will feature the biggest stars from both places. Poy Eram will be the the guest of the second episode while the Cebuano Hotshot Dondon Hontiveros will be the guest for MYBL-Cebu’s hosting of the third episode.
