Phoenix Pulse finally clinched a victory in its PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series after beating San Miguel, 92-90, last April 21 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Matthew Wright had 18 points including four charities in the crucial stage of Game 3 as the Fuel Masters claimed a win in the best-of-seven semifinals showdown. San Miguel is still up, 2-1, in its series against Phoenix Pulse.

Wright was fouled after getting the rebound off a missed three-pointer by Terrence Romeo. He converted two free throws with 49.6 seconds left in the fourth to break an 86-86 tie. Wright was once again fouled with 26.6 seconds to play after a miss by Alex Cabagnot, with his two charities giving the Fuel Masters a 90-86 lead.

Phoenix Pulse still escaped with the win after JC Intal missed two free throws with the Fuel Masters up, 92-90. Chris Ross missed a three-point attempt, and Von Pessumal missed a jumper in San Miguel’s last possession of Game 3.

Game 4 will be played on Tuesday at the Cuneta Astrodome.
