The Philippines’ 3x3 squad continued its perfect run through the 2019 Southeast Asian Games Men’s 3x3 Basketball Tournament as they plowed down their last two opponents in the preliminary round at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Monday.

The Philippine team composed of Jason Perkins, CJ Perez, Moala Tautuaa and Chris Newsome absolutely clobbered Cambodia, 21-6, for their sixth straight victory. The win also clinched a semis berth for the Filipinos.

Tautuaa emphatically put an end to the game, throwing down a thunderous slam dunk to seal the victory with over two minutes still left in the lopsided encounter. Perkins led the way for the Philippines with 12 points.

Earlier in the day, the Philippines defeated Malaysia, 21-9, with Tautuaa leading the way with nine points. Perez chipped in six.

The Philippines closed out their successful showing on Sunday with a 21-10 win over Thailand and a 21-15 win over Vietnam.
