The longest running recreational basketball league in the Metro is now powered by Pinoyliga.com with the signing of a parnership agreement with PinoyExchange.com Basketball League / PEXBALL. Present during the signing is PEXBALL Tournament Director Kiko Malicdem and Pinoyliga Founder Benny Benitez. Formed back in 2001 with the players coming from the PinoyExchange.com Basketball Club, the league aims to foster camaraderie and develop basketball skills between its members. From five teams, the league ballooned to twelve teams with the tournament being held from May to December annually.

Malicdem said, "the league had a different approach in forming teams as the five pioneer teams were formed through drafting". The first league champion was Team White Why led by their team captain Dexter Ong and Most Valuable Player Anthony Vinluan as it outlasted Team Black in two games. The Atleta Spartans led by team Captain Renvic Catanghal and Jericho Ilagan meanwhile is the most decorated team in the league after winning 5 titles including a 4-peat. Last year, the Hoops Saints won the title after outlasting Team Wolfpack.

As years passed by, the league opened its doors to players outside the club as the clamor to join the league got bigger each year. But the bragging rights remain as there is only ONE champion each year.

This year, with new players and a new team entering the league, PEXBALL  is entering its new era and what a better way to welcome the new era with a partnership with PinoyLiga for its Digital Stats this season
