NorthPort played without Stanley Pringle but still went on to defeat Alaska, 103-81, last May 22 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Sean Anthony finished with 22 points to lead the Batang Pier attack after they missed Pringle as he is still recovering from a surgery to remove bone spurs in his right ankle.
Robert Bolick had 19 points, and NorthPort import Prince Ibeh had 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Batang Pier claimed a win in their first game of the conference.
“Without Stanley Pringle, siguro na-challenge lahat ng players na kailangan they have to do their share,” said NorthPort coach Pido Jarencio.
Alaska dropped to 1-1 after winning its first game of the conference.
