Bobby Ray Parks provided clutch baskets for Blackwater as the Elite won in overtime against Barangay Ginebra, 108-107, last May 24 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Parks erupted for 28 points for the Elite while also scoring the last seven points in the extra period to come away with the one-point victory. With another win, Blackwater is now 2-0 to start off the Commissioner’s Cup.

“I love playing big games. I love playing against great competition. Ginebra is one of the best teams. Just that crowd environment is great. I’ll say it again. I love the fans. I also love our fans for coming in and supporting,” said Parks.
Blackwater import Alex Stepheson also had a big game after he scored 28 points and grabbed 25 rebounds. Mac Belo also put up huge numbers after contributing 20 points and 13 boards.
Justin Brownlee had 44 points in his first game back with Barangay Ginebra but his efforts didn’t led to a win a they go 0-1 to start the Commissioner’s Cup where they are the defending champions.
“It was a grinding game. Hindi ko ma-explain. I always thought that our team is built for these kinds of games,” said Blackwater interim coach Aris Dimaunahan.
