PAMA’S 34 POINTS LIFTED TEAM J3FY AGAINST GRITTY AFTERSHOCK

Kenneth Pama exploded for a 22-point second quarter to helped Team J3FY win in their debut game in a lopsided fashion against a defensive oriented Aftershock, 95-78, Sunday at the Upperdeck gym in Ortigas. 

Pama finished with 34 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed four rebounds. He also made an impact on the defensive side with three blocks and three steals.

A little bit gunshy in the first period, Pama made five straight triples as he carried the scoring load for J3FY in the second period alone.

He shot an efficient 57.14%, eight out of fourteen from deep, including a stop and pop trey off a steal that ballooned their margin to 21, 54-33 and then finish the second quarter up by 22, 56-34.

Aftershock tried to bounceback in the third by going inside, John Gorriceta woke up by hitting back-to-back elbow jumpers and they trimmed the deficit to 12 mid in the third, 60-48, but they can't stop J3FY 3-point shooting, as the winning team are hitting shots beyond the arc everytime they make a run. He finished with 12 markers.

Roj Cabuenas’ seven-point swing halted Afterchock’s spirited comeback, first it was a 
three at 4:11, then a lay-up at 3:58 and another at 3:33 mark.

He had 21 points with a lucky 9/11 from the field. Delbert Valentino added a double-double with 11 and 16 boards, while Ryan Guanco had ten to help Pama achieved their victory.

J3FY continue firing in the fourth, together with their stingy defense they protected a 24-point barrier and finished the game up by 27.

Aftershock’s leading scorer, Dela Torre had a quiet 20 points and five boards, Alvin Fernandez had a double-double with 17 and 12, while Daryl Deang scored 15 markers.
