#OneLoveBasketballLeague: Young Once, MNL Kingpin remain unbeaten with Monster and Kings Cup back on track in Week 7

The seventh week of the One Love Basketball League-R3born Performance Cup got going at the FCL Center in Quezon City, with MNL Kingpin and Young Once the huge winners in the four-game bill last November 16.

The pair kept their unbeaten records in Bracket A as Kings Cup and Monster Energy Drink got their campaign back on track in Division 2.

On the morning opener, Young Once were bailed out anew by Marte Gil to get their fourth straight W with a 105-101 nailbiter over Rice Ka Pa.

The former D-Leaguer was just 2 rebounds and an assist shy of a triple-double to get the POG award for the second straight game after his 25-point explosion, backstopping resident gunner John Rosagas who hit five triples en route to scoring 30 to lead all players.

Big man Jeff Tonido clocked an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Young Once.

Aaron Jamilano's 23-10-7 were not enough for RKP, as they fell to even 2-2.

On the other hand, MNL Kingpin leaned on the pefrect double-double of Emmanuel Elarmo to subdue WorldTV, 97-70

Elarmo went 6-for-6 from the field to finish with 12 points but his highlight was his 19 rebounds, 18 of them from the defensive end to back up the hot hands of Rizaldy Corpuz who hit all of his 30 points from beyond the arc.

WorldTV fell to 1-3 in their group, wasting Christopher Villanueva's 26-point effort.

In Bracket A, Monster Energy Drink recovered from their defeat against Mira Nila with a 99-84  win against Papawis thanks to their efficient shooting.

Hitting 52% from the field, Monster leaned on Vic Epres' 33 points to move up to 3-1, behind unbeaten Sideburns Barbershop.

The former Fighting Maroon hit his on a 67% clip from the field, only missing once from inside the arc.

On the week's final game, Martin Estiva flirted with a triple-double as Kings Cup the winless Misfits, 89-52 to move up to 3-2.

Estiva was just a dime short of the feat but his player of the game-worthy line of 16 points and 14 rebounds gave them the win that snapped their two-game losing skid after winning their first two.

Apart from Estiva, Martin Favia added 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Gerald Bala leads them in scoring with 23.
