WorldTV and Sideburns Barbershop were the notable winners as action in the One Love Basketball League-R3born Performance Cup wrapped up their second week last October 5 at the FCL Sports Center in Quezon City.

After being at the wrong end of a rout on opening week, WorldTV did not mind the absence of Maui Villanueva as his brothers stepped up to maul Misfits, 87-66 to win their first game in Bracket A.

With the former DLSU big man went down with a flu, the trio of Patrick, Christopher and Kevin Villanueva took the initiative for WorldTV, hitting 45% from the field in their dominating beatdown.

Christopher hit for 20 points to lead all scorers, splitting his eight field goals from inside and outside the arc, with Patrick getting the player of the game honors after hauling a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds to go along with 3 assists and 4 blocks for a PER of 26.21, thanks to the digital stats by Pinoyliga.

Kevin Villanueva then added 15 for WorldTV to move up to 1-1.

Jerry Antonio's 15 were not enough for Misfits as they go down to 0-2.Image may contain: 1 person, playing a sport, basketball court and child

On the other featured game, Tim Cu put up a rebounding masterclass as Sideburns opened their Bracket B campaign with a classy 83-71 win over Mira Nila.

Cu backstopped Paolo Avecilla's 20 points by putting in a double-double of 16 and 23 rebounds, fifteen of them were from their own offensive end while rocking their Vancouver Grizzlies-inspired uniforms in their debut, bringing his PER of 27.72 in more than 22 minutes of action to get a total of 55 statistical points.

All in all, Sideburns collared a total of 60 rebounds for the game, three-quarters of which came from the offensive glass, and fifteen more than their victims.

JC Hernandez lead Mira Nila with a double-double of his own of 23 points and 12 rebounds, but they were bogged down by their low field goal shooting by only hitting 34% to drop their season debut.
