One Love Basketball League: Monster Energy Drink opens Reborn Cup 3 with rout of Mad Cafe

One Love Basketball League returned to action last September 28 at the FCL Center, as routs sums up the tip-off for the Reborn Cup Division 2.

Newly promoted from the recreational Division 3, Monster Energy Drink showed no jitters at all after mauling their title rivals Mad Cafe (Directors' Club), 109-74 in Bracket B, with five players hitting double figures.

Finals MVP Sas Pineda showed why he's the boss in their championship as he led all scorers with 25 points on an insane 80% clip from the field, and added 8 rebounds, 6 assists and three steals in his line.

Backstopping the big man was celebrity baller Gab Lagman who had 19, Gali Gonzaga's 17 and former UP Fighting Maroon Vic Epres who had 16, with former LSGH Greenie Jami Gadi adding a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Season MVP Rolando Dator also showed no signs of slowing down as the had 23 points to lead Mad Cafe.

Elsewhere in Bracket A, Suave-Casa Empanada lean on Hayley Ajero's 24 points to subdue WorldTV 101-79 while Manila Kingpin had six in double digits as they pounced on hapless Misfits 124-61.
