NorthPort put clamps on Terrence Jones to defeat TNT

NorthPort defeated TNT, 110-86, to keep its unbeaten streak in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup last May 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Batang Pier put a defensive stand on high-scoring import Terrence Jones by limiting him to only 17 points in the game. He had scored 41 and 43 points in his two previous games for the KaTropa.

Stanley Pringle, meanwhile, erupted for 22 points in his return from ankle surgery as the Batang Pier improved their card to 3-0.

“Wala akong masabi kasi we almost played a perfect game especially on defense. Grabe ang depensa namin on Terrence Jones,” said NorthPort coach Pido Jarencio.

Robert Bolick had 21 points and Prince Ibeh had 18 points and 20 rebounds including a dunk over Don Trollano in a highlight play of the game.
