WITHOUT ANY DOUBT.
San Juan's resident gunner John Wilson gets the nod to start for Team North for the MPBL's All-Star festivities that will be held on February 13.
The first-ever player to score a thousand points in the league gets the nod to be its starting small forward, getting 51.3% of the votes that was tallied from January 23-31.
It will be a huge mistake for the fans not to start him given the fact that he was the league's third-leading scorer, averaging 20.4 points per contest while he was also the second best thief, averaging 2.4 steals per ball game.
What's more astounding is that Wilson had a 12-game streak of scoring at least 20 points, including the all-time single game record of 44 points in their away win at Pampanga.
Not to mention the fact that he got the thousand-point mark in just the first quarter of their home win vs Pasig that gave them a seven-game sweep of their homestand at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.
Apart from Wilson, Coach Randy Alcantara is set to man the sidelines for the Northern all-stars, a fitting reward for the reigning national champions.
The rest of the Northern Selection will be posted soon.
