Matthew Wright joins Gilas Pilipinas pool

Matthew Wright has joined the Gilas Pilipinas pool, according to a report by Spin.ph.

Wright has been included in the pool, joining the likes of Kiefer Ravena, CJ Perez, and Robert Bolick as Gilas Pilipinas prepares for the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

“Part na siya ng pool. We added him to the pool. He was part of the discussion noong una and I guess his game speaks for itself,” Guiao was quoted by Spin.ph as saying.

Wright has been part of previous Gilas Pilipinas teams, but was not included in the final window of the Asian qualifiers where the team secured a berth in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Wright has been impressive in the past few games for his mother ballclub Phoenix Pulse, with the PBA Press Corps awarding him the Player of the Week recently.
