QUEZON CITY -- Guam Masters banked on a solid play by Joseph Ubalde to nip Gourmet Manila in a 71-66 thriller to cap off Tuesday's tripleheaders of the 2019 Masters Invitational Basketball Tournament at the PNP Gym.
Playing their opening games in the 35-and-above division, Ubalde carried the heaviest load for Guam, as he tallied a game-high double-double of 41 points and 17 rebounds, while adding 2 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks.
Charles Reyes was the only other Guam cager in double figures as he added 18.
For Gourmet MNL, Erie Quiroga had 19 points to lead them while Amiel Ibarrientos added a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds.
