QUEZON CITY -- Gourmet Manila finished their 35-and-above campaign at the 2019 Masters Invitational Basketball Tournament on a high note, after taking down Guam Masters once again in a 102-84 beatdown Friday evening at the PNP Gym.
Amiel Ibarrientos and crew will not be denied a win this time after suffering three straight heartbreaking losses, pulling away in the second half for to get third place.
Ibarrientos finished with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds for Gourmet Manila, with Jobert Castro chipping in 18 as they broke free from a tight contest in the third, wherein they limited Guam to just 13 points in the penultimate frame as they hike their biggest lead at 29.
Joseph Ubalde's monster double-double of 36 points and 19 rebounds was not enough for Guam to repeat their elimination round win over Gourmet Manila last Tuesday.
