QUEZON CITY -- E-Hotel Team Pilipinas set up a date with PNP-Naredo in the championship game of the 2019 Masters Invitational Basketball Tournament, after smothering Guam Masters, 97-71 in the final day of the eliminations last Thursday evening at the PNP Gym in Camp Crame.

The dynamic duo of Jun Portosa and Henry Ogaco was just too much for Guam to handle, as E-Hotel wrap up with a 2-1 record, and the right to face unbeaten PNP in the title game today for the 55-and-above title.

Portosa shot the lights out with six triples en route to 23 points, with Ogaco wreaking havoc down low with  9/12 field goal shooting for 18.

Player of the game Willie Dizon notched 36 statistical points as he filled his line with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 21 minutes of action.

E-Hotel had to buck an early deficit in the first half, and only pulled away late in the third with a crippling 12-0 run to blow the game wide open at 69-43 on a Dizon bucket with 2:28 left, in which they extended their biggest lead at 28 in the waning moments of the contest.
