Man in Spiderman costume interrupts Game 5

A man dressed as Spiderman ran at the court late in Game 5 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals last May 10.

The incident marred Game 5 in which Mark Barroca sank a buzzer-beater to lift Magnolia to an 88-86 win over San Miguel.

With 3:06 left in the ballgame, the person who was not identified came running the court, colliding with June Mar Fajardo in the process. The person was also holding pieces of paper including, ‘Vote Love and Love PBA.’ Fajardo was hit in the chin after the person’s head hit him in the face.

Security went after him and was later brought to the nearest police station for questioning.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the league plans to file a case against the person who was not identified.
