The FIBA Basketball World Cup trophy has arrived in Manila for a trophy tour.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup trophy, also called as the Naismith Trophy, has been going around the world as part of FIBA’s promotion of this year’s World Cup set August 31 to September 15 in China.

Of course, Gilas Pilipinas will see action in the World Cup where it will battle against Serbia, Italy, and Angola in the group stage.

The new design of the World Cup trophy was officially bared during the draw ceremony of the FIBA Basketball World Cup last May 7, 2017.

Prior to Manila, the trophy tour began this month in Los Angeles and was later brought to Tehran, Podgorica, Christchurch, Melbourne, and Amman.
