Coach Randy Alcantara admitted that the Pasay Voyagers have devised a near-perfect game plan to stun top-seeded San Juan last Saturday evening.

"Maganda pinakita ng Pasay on both ends,he said after their escape at the FilOil FlyingV Centre to draw first blood in the Northern Division playoffs. "Offense and defense."

For him, the visitors' hot start caught them by surprise, as they are not playing like the reigning MPBL champions.

"Na-execute yung plays nila, pati yung depensa nila, from pressure to zone. Di kami nag-click nung first three quarters."

Their lethargic play was even attributed to their lousy defending, in which the referees pounced on it by whistling some useless fouls, much to their dismay.

"Di kami mananalo kung aarte kami sa court," he admitted, knowing that it had tested their nerve.

"Mahirap kasi gigil na gigil kami especially na di kami makalamang. Di kami yung San Juan Knights na maglalaro na for flopping lang."

But it's the same defense that kept them alive, only this time they made it sure that they held their own against Pasay.

"Dumipensa kami ng tama, tigasan namin yung katawan namin."

After that nailbiting escape, Alcantara had a honest assessment on what they should do if they wish to clinch the series on Thursday.

"Mas marami kaming iko-correct ngayon para dun sa game 2, mas ready kami," he concluded.
