For years, Joshua Munzon has been flying the colors of the flag as a member of the Philippine team that competed in several International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 tournaments. As Enzo Flojo said in one Bull By the Horn by Benny Benitez episode, "He's really, for me, kind of like a complete package. He got the size, the length, the athleticism, and in a way, he has experience already because he played in the ABL (ASEAN Basketball League) level and the 3x3 obviously,"
Come the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft on March 14, 2021, Munzon's name will be expected to be picked in the early stage. Possibly a top-two pick.
That is after 25-year old Munzon submitted his application to join the annual draft.
Incidentally, Munzon also played in the PBA D-League where he was also picked as the top pick by AMA Online Education. During the 2019 Aspirants' Cup, Munzon averaged 35 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists while making himself the only D-League player to have multiple 40-point games.
Joshua Munzon will join an already deep draft class that already has 3x3 mates in Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan, and Troy Rike.
