#IFBL17Finals: JBBI dethrones Delta to clinch Starter Plus crown

JBBI relied on the double-double of big man Sam Ignacio to dethrone Delta Sportswear as the IFBL Starter Plus division champions after a thrilling 78-75 win last Saturday evening at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.

The Saints almost saw their third quarter rampage melted away when the defending champions launched their fourth quarter rally, but survive it to clinch their first IFBL title.

Ignacio posted a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds as he muscled his way for JBBI, taking over in the final frame when he scattered 14 points.

While Ignacio was imposing his stature inside the paint, Francis Ronquillo shot the lights from the outside, scoring 20 points as well after only missing once out of his six attempts from the rainbow territory.

Kevin Rodrigo had 18 points for Delta, who even missed a potential game-tying triple that could have sent the game into overtime.
