Historic win by UAAP alumni to take home the first Pinoyliga alumni all star game trophy

UAAP Alumni dominates NCAA Alumni in the first Pinoyliga alumni all-star game, 167 - 96, held at Gatorade Hoop Center, Mandaluyong City.

A lot of familiar faces are seen in this all-star match-up headed by former Red Warriors Ronald Tubid and Paul Artadi of Team UAAP, and former Cardinals Erwin Sta. Maria from Team NCAA.

The University of the East duo Ronald Tubid and Paul Artadi started the rout as they tallied a combined 31 points, 14 for Tubid and 17 for Artadi. The quarter ends with a 29-point lead in favor of Team UAAP, 49 - 20.

Erwin Sta. Maria was the go-to guy for team NCAA in their run during the second quarter he had 19 points. On the other side, another Red Warriors is on a mission in Alvin Zuniga who scored 26 points in 11 out of 15 shooting from the field in that quarter alone.

At the half, a 40-point lead was erected by Team UAAP, 87 - 47.

The tandem of Richard Yee and Zuniga continues the domination of Team UAAP as they scored 25 of the 29 points of the team score in the quarter.

Former Cardinals Erwin Sta. Maria showed what he got during the third quarter as he scored 21 points. He was helped by Paul Reguera, Melvin Arellano, and Michael Ukol with a combination of 14 points to outscore the Team UAAP 35 - 29. But a 34-point lead was carried by Team UAAP to start the last quarter.

Alvin Zuniga catches fire during the fourth quarter he scored 48 points with 16 out of 22 in the rainbow country in the fourth quarter. The team UAAP sealed the all-star game with a 71-point lead.

Erwin Sta. Maria tops the scoring from the Team NCAA with 54 points together with 13 rebounds a double-double performance for him.

Zuniga finishes the game with a total of 93 points. The fearless Ronald Tubid almost got a near triple-double with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 15 assists. Richard Yee also came up with a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds.
