Not every team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) has the luxury of having two who can produce good numbers on a consistent basis. Off the bench. That's something that the Los Angeles Clippers have this year as they have two players who are finalists for the Sixth Man of the Year.

While Lou Williams has won the award three times including a back-to-back win in the last two NBA seasons, he was dethroned by another Clipper: Montrezl Harrell.

The  NBA officially named Montrezl Harrell as the 2019-2020 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year with Lou Williams surprising Harrell with the trophy during a team meeting. This marks the third consecutive season and five of the last seven that the Sixth Man of the Year is a Clipper.

From a global panel of 100 broadcasters and sportswriters, Harrell accumulated 58 first-place votes and scored 397 points in the race. Dennis Schroder of the Oklahoma City Thunder finished with 35 first-place votes for his 328 points while Williams only received seven first-place votes and finished with 127 points.

The voting was based on the games played until March 11, 2020. From the start of the 2019-2020 campaign until last March, Harrell normed 18 points, seven rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while averaging 27 minutes playing time. He ranks second in scoring and fifth in rebounding among all players coming off the bench and had two games where he scored 34 points off the bench.
