Gilas Pilipinas Youth plays tune-up game vs UE

Gilas Pilipinas Youth played a tune-up game against University of the East last Tuesday, June 18 as part of its preparations for the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup.

The Gilas youth cagers had a gallant stand but bowed to UE, 73-71, in the tune-up game but despite the defeat, the national squad gained valuable experience.

Kai Sotto was able to show his wares against today’s college players, while also teaming up with AJ Edu forming the twin towers of the squad.

The tune-up is part of Gilas Pilipinas Youth’s build-up for the Under-19 World Cup with the team set to play Far Eastern University next in another tune-up match.
