Gilas Pilipinas arrives in China for FIBA World Cup

Our Gilas Pilipinas men’s basketball team to the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup has arrived safely in China.

The Gilas squad were welcomed by members of the Filipino community at the Guangzhou airport on Thursday before making a land trip to Foshan where Group D of the competitions will be held.

Our national team later rode a bus for Foshan where the team bus has a #PilipinasGotGame written over the side of the vehicle.

Gilas will resume training at the Foshan International Sports and Cultural Center to get a preview of what to expect playing in the venue during the tournament proper.

The Philippine squad is gearing up against Italy, its first match of the group stage on Saturday.
