Final 12 of Gilas Pilipinas Women for FIBA Women's Asia Cup named

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas recently released the final 12 for Gilas Pilipinas Women in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in Bangalore, India.

The final 12 of head coach Pat Aquino are the following: Kelly Hayes, Afril Bernardino, Jack Danielle Animam, Janine Pontejos, Gemma Miranda, France Mae Cabinbin, Danica Therese Jose, Ana Alicia Katrina Castillo, Eunique Chan, Marizze Andrea Tongco, Maria Beatrice Daez and Ria Joy Nabalan.

The Gilas Women will see action against the best teams in Asia and Oceania, as they are grouped with powerhouse teams Australia, China, and New Zealand in Group B.

Gilas Women will open its campaign against Australia on September 24. Their next opponents are China on September 25 and New Zealand on September 26.
